Today's “Morning, within the Novosela camp, KFOR units held the “exercise The Golden Sword 2023” -- an event aimed at testing procedures and prepared for quick delocation of forces to cope with any possible crisis scenarios” -- is said to be announced by KFOR.

KFOR has announced that the event has been developed to test procedures between different multinational entities that make up the Kosovo Force committed to responding to various simulated scenarios.

“In close co-operation with EULEX units (The European Union for Law Rule in Kosovo) teams of crowd and riot control have been deployed, the means to remove roadblocks and engineering tools for cleaning explosive tools”, said further.

“Along with this kind of training, KFOR maintains high levels of its entity readiness by assessing the co-ordination measures of various commanders at different levels and by improving and standardising command and control procedures. KFOR's multinational contingent operates on Kosovo territory under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 on the task of ensuring a safe and secure environment, as well as freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo”, it is said at the end.
