It has spoken of the period when it has rejected million bids from other states, out of a desire to represent Kosovo.
I'm one of those sportsmen who've had millions of offers from other countries to represent, during the time I received those offers, my family has been in a very difficult economic situation and that I haven't been very sure whether the decision is right or not, to refuse those offers”.
“The image makes me feel extremely proud of myself and my coach, because it has been that he has been insisting all the time that we stay in Kosovo and represent Kosovo in the international arena”, it is expressed.
Kelmendi said she would never forgive herself if her Olympic medal went to another country, not Kosovo.
I would never forgive myself if my Olympic medal went for another country, not Kosovo, I always dreamed of the Olympic medal for all Albanians to be the one that brings it, and I am happy that this dream of mine has become a reality”, she said.
