This decision was made today at the KEK Board of Directors meeting.
“In the KEK Board of Directors meeting, held today, by the date. 25.04.2023 decisions are made as follows: The BD has decided to suspend the task of Chief Executive Chief. Nagip Krasniqi with immediate effect. In the position of a deputy in office. Chief Executive Chief, BD has named Mr. Progress Kabashi, currently Director of the Central Unit for Planning and Strategy at KEK”, is said to end.
To Krasniqi, the Special Prosecutor had initially launched a preliminary investigation into non-accompliance or false property statements, while Krasniqi would later be involved in police investigators' reports.
He was suspected of involvement in a corrupting case. Krasniqi had signed two agreements allegedly to have caused damage to the state budget.
Nagip Krasniqi had paid a visit to Croatia in March last year, where Berisha serves as Kosovo's ambassador. Police investigators suspect the two had met there.
