This is a day that focuses on celebrating Roma culture and expanding awareness of the problems of this community.
The International Roma Day began in 1990 in Warsaw, where the fourth convention of the Roman International Union (IRU) was held.
This festival commemorates the day when international Roma co-operation was officially signed, and when the Roma movement gained an international political and social dimension.
In honor of this day, the Roma organisation in Action will hold open activity at “Mother Teresa” in Gjaobba at 14. Meanwhile at the same time, Rome Versitas Kosovoo holds a media conference at the National Museum amphitheatre, as well as Opre Roma Kosova (ORK) will distribute promotional and information materials to “Mother Teresa” in Pristina.
