Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has said the agreement reached in Ohrid is the worst deal that could have been imposed on Kosovo.
Hoti has also accused Prime Minister Kurti of failing to keep the dialogue on the track of mutual recognition.
I have given my remarks since the beginning of this government's mandate our remarks as an opposition party to work with international partners so that the dialogue will be kept on the track of mutual recognition. When this government has received its mandate, dialogue has emerged from track, then from developments in the north, the focus of the internationals returned to managing the situation there and not to the main target”, Dukagnaj RTV said.
“Kurti and Osmani are two persons responsible for this deal, it's the worst deal anyone could ever imagine”
Hoti has said that Prime Minister Kurti, along with President Vjosa Osmani, are the people responsible for reaching the agreement in Ohrid, between Kosovo and Serbia, and that it is the worst deal anyone could ever imagine.
Hoti has said both have enabled an agreement to be reached that has sworn a new status quo.
For Kurt's fault, everything that has been done in the past must be undone for his ideas. We don't have recognition, already Serbia has no pressure to recognise Kosovo, all international pressure has been on mutual recognition, Kurti and Osmani have concluded an agreement that has sworn a new status quo”, he has followed.
According to him, with Kurti's governance, dialogue naturally came out of the tracks, while it has indicated that Kosovo has reached so far thanks to support from international partners.
“We have declared the independence co-ordinated with the internationals, I am willing to stress the need to deal with close ties and advice with international partners for the final goal in the” dialogue.
He has said that in pre-governments, dialogue has been structured and is expected to end with mutual recognition.
We've already gone down the road, in the preliminary government dialogue has been structured, I know we would have closed the dialogue with mutual recognition. An agreement has been reached that has created a new status quo without mutual recognition, which has been violently rejected by this prime minister”, Hoti said.
