Hill: Agreement in Ohrid has not been reached easily, concrete implementation expected

In a statement to reporters in Valjevo, Hill has stressed that it is the key moment for implementation of the agreement.

He added that the moment is difficult, but the same considers it hopeful and that he expects future implementation.

“As far as the Ohrid Agreement and other agreements are concerned, for one moment I have not said it is an easy thing and it will be easy, but I think we have reached a key moment in the sense that we should expect something to happen in terms of implementation. It's a tough time, but at the same time it's a hopeful moment. We expect future implementation”, Hill said, writes Danas.

Otherwise, the European Union's envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has said that this week we are leaving behind has been in charge of the meeting, which took place in Brussels, under chief negotiators in the Kosovo dialogue Serbia.

Through a Facebook post, Lajcak has said the two sides under the meeting discussed implementing the Agreement on the road to normalisation and current urgent issues.

Regarding the meeting, Lajcak has also informed State Department adviser Derek Chollet.

This week, I was busy with meetings in Brussels, where we organised a dialogue meeting at the level of the chief negotiators. Chief negotiators from Kosovo and Serbia discussed implementing the Agreement on the Way to Normalisation and current urgent issues”.

I also met with State Department Adviser Derek Chollet. It was good to talk about recent developments in the Western Balkans. I also informed him of the dialogue meeting and of the chief negotiators. We agreed on the need for immediate confidence implementation. I am very grateful for the partnership and strong co-ordination with the United States when it comes to Dialogue”, he said.
