Officials said two soldiers died on the scene, while the third died on the way to the hospital. A fourth soldier was wounded in the incident.
This is an incredible loss for the families of these soldiers, their fellow soldiers and for the” division, said Major General Brian Eifler, 11th Air Army Division commander of the troops.
Two AH-64 attacking helicopters Appache collapsed near the town of Healy.
“Incident is under investigation and more information about the incident will be published when it becomes available”, the 11th Air Division said in a statement, DW reported.
At the end of March, two American Army Black Hawk helicopters also crashed during a training flight to Kentucky, leaving all nine soldiers on board dead. In February, two Tennessee national guards also died when their helicopter crashed during a training flight to Alabama.
