Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has said they will respect the Constitutional Court's decision on the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.
Haxhiu stressed that very soon new changes in accordance with the Constitutional Court's act are expected to be prosecuted in the Kosovo Assembly.
We will proceed very quickly to the Kosovo Assembly with new changes in line with the Constitutional Court's act. That's what I'm saying again to remove the dilemmas of the opinionists, the media that will not apply the Constitutional Court's ruling absolutely not, because I've seen such discussions in accordance with the court's act. We will make changes because we will not be able to accept that there will be no changes in the Law for the Prosecutorial Council and there will be no elimination of corruption within the council. How we're going to do this I believe we're going to announce public opinion very soon, but I believe there's a solution to this”, Haxhi said to tv1.
Otherwise, the Constitutional Court of Kosovo has decided to declare the Law to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council invalid.
This request, which came from MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo during July last year.
