The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey M. Havenier. Ambassador Havenier commended and congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi on the finalisation and achievement of visa liberalisation for Kosovo and the official signing, naming yesterday a successful day.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the ambassador and stressed that the Government will launch an information campaign for citizens, as well as strengthen co-ordination institutional mechanisms and co-operate with our partners.

The United States of America is said to be the main ally and strategic partner of the Republic of Kosovo. The deepening of relations between our two states is the primary goal and the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi with Minister Murati last week reaffirmed and intended to continue strengthening economic relations and trade exchanges between us.

The meeting was discussed, and on the process of dialogue and implementation of the Basic Agreement on normalisation of relations and implementation Anex. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi confirmed that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed, active and constructive in the process.
