Haradinaj: The north elections should be held

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj insists that elections in the north, expected to be held on April 23rd, should be postponed. According to him, this scenario benefits Kosovo, on the contrary keeping them, as Haradinaj says, is a loss to the country. He says that with eventual maintenance, even [...]
The former Kosovo prime minister, among other things, tells Kosovo that wisdom must be shown and that processes that harm Kosovo to stop on time.
“Must be taken care, the option of halting this process is wise, is to benefit Kosovo and save our face as a state. And the insistence on holding elections actually deepens our losses, but it takes our faces because it proves to be on election day that we are not in the right situation... We must have both political and political courage, but also intellectual, that processes that lead to losses for the country stop over time, not to be held hostage by the situation going on there”, the Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj says that the fact that the elections are held irregular and ordinary polling stations makes it difficult for citizens to vote, while adding that the security of Kosovo Police members is at risk in this form.
“Yes, it has to take a decision to interrupt the process now what it is, because we can't hold elections and deployments if we're at the police station. As it is known, the police station in the north are special units and there's a lot of logic boxes where the police are staying. It is also difficult to qualify elections as free, democratic if they are held at the Police Station, where only elite police units are. The fact that they are held at the police station then difficult even participation, however small it is, could have been even smaller and therefore the election day is not any success for us like Kosovo, but it will be a loss”, Haradinaj says.
Haradinaj considers that the decision to hold elections without co-ordination with international allies is wrong for the country.
I believe the mistake is that we have entered this path without allies, was the first time and now. However, this is only damage to Kosovo. Kosovo police are in a very tense situation in the north, they also have long shifts, and they are endangered. There are many cases when Kosovo Police are fired, overnight they are exposed to numerous dangers and it is wrong to continue a losing situation for Kosovo... A serious discussion with our allies, so with America, other QUINT allies and the formula for all to agree to hold elections, including all political parties in the north”, says among other things Haradinaj.
Among other things, Haradinaj says Serbia's agenda to be against Kosovo will always continue, but according to him, the important thing is for the north to have co-ordination with internationals.
Serbia's <x0);Agent, the allies of Serbia, of those who are really against Kosovo will continue every time, but whenever we have agreements with our security allies, the result will be in our favour. So, no matter what the other side does, we know the formula for success and the formula for success to the north, because it's a matter of security as well, it's a coherence action, agreement with our America-led security allies”, Haradinaj told the end.
The elections in four northern municipalities were announced following the Serb resignation from Kosovo institutions in November last year.
Initially, they were scheduled to be held on December 18th of last year, but were delayed by President Vjosa Osmani's decision on April 23rd, also because of the tense situation and barricades that were set up by suspected criminal groups.
