Kosovo's Municipal Assembly decision on opening the Ibër Bridge has been supported by the government, but the EU's emissary for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has said it is not time to do so. Reopening the bridge, according to KFOR, must be resolved through political dialogue.

Municipal advisers in northern Mitrovica have approved the demand for the opening of the main bridge over the Iber River. This was done with the Asambliste proposal from the Vetvendosje Movement ranks Aida Ferati-Doli.

The Government of Kosovo has supported this decision, saying it is the right and the right decision.

But for the reopening of the bridge, European emissary Miroslav Lajcak says it is not time.

KFOR's mission has also been declared on this issue.

Mission NATO, KFOR, continues to monitor local developments and remains fully focused on the daily implementation of its mandate, based on the 1999 Security Council Resolution 1244, to ensure a safe environment and free movement for all communities in Kosovo”, KFOR has said in Rtv Dukagjin.
