German Ambassador to Serbia Anke Konrad has conveyed her country's stance that it is to regret that the Serbian List boycotted the last elections in northern Kosovo.
Kosovo's “Serbs, who left Kosovo institutions in November 2022, must return to them as soon as possible. This, by the way, is also one of the obligations from the Brussels Agreement, as well as the obligation to form the Serb majority municipality Association. And yes, association now needs to be implemented quickly, we are committed to this”, German diplomat told the Serbian Curier, broadcasting Clankosova.tv.
She added that the association is Kosovo's key “in this” dialogue and that preconditions must be created for it without delay, but that Serbia will also implement all its obligations.
The German ambassador there, among other things, said the European agreement on the road to normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the so-called French-German agreement, has been accepted by both sides and that they now have the obligation to implement it without any discussion and without new conditions, Danas submits.
The two sides will have concrete benefits from implementing the agreement, because current tensions are poison for people's future, economic investments and jobs, and without normalisation of relations there will be no membership in the EU”, she added.
