G7 calls on Russia to withdraw from Ukraine

The G7 foreign ministers, or group of the most industrialized countries, reiterated their commitment to supporting Ukraine strongly, “intensating, co-ordinating and fully implementing sanctions against Russia”. During a meeting in Japan, G7 ministers said that “Russia should withdraw all forces and equipment from Ukraine, immediately and unconditionally”, broadcast a statement issued by Japan's Foreign Ministry.
Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa said it is important to preserve unity in implementing sanctions against Russia.
Commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement that Russia will deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, G7 ministers said Russia's “retoric nuclear irretoric is unacceptable”.
Russia was once part of what has been known as G8, but has been deported after annexing the Ukrainian Crimea Peninsula in 2014.
On Putin's orders, the Russian Army has launched the large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February of last year.
The West has taken severe sanctions against Moscow, while Kiev is helping with weapons and logistics.
