39 Experts Searched in Emergency

More than 93 thousand patients have been treated only during 2022 at the Emergency Clinic of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo. While 38 thousand of them have been from the Pristina municipality, it has reported on Online Economy, the director of this clinic, Naser Syla. Syla has said that only 52 thousand patients have been accepted for treatment [...]
Syla has said that only 52,000 patients have been admitted to further treatment at KKUK, while the rest of them have been treated through QKMF or Regional Hospital.
Taking into account the large number of patients from the town of Pristina, Syla is a clear indication of the need to build Pristina Hospital.
“About last year in Emergency Clinic has been very busy. If we're talking about certain standards that are defined by the WTO at the Emergency Center that is conducted with the tercirar treatment and a country of 2 million people, the maximum should have 20 thousand patients within the year. During the past year, some 93 thousand patients have been unearthed in our clinic. Of a medical staff from 23 specialists currently and 18 specialists and 68 mid-term technicians. So this shows how loaded the Emergency Center” is.
But what is a paradox of these 93 thousand patients, 38 thousand of them have been from the Pristina municipality, which best shows the need for the construction of Pristina Hospital, shows how much Pristina misses the city hospital, where we know it is the only city in Kosovo that has no hospital, and all patients come to the QKUK”, Syla said.
Syla says that she is also visited by mild - health patients. He says that patients want to receive services that you even provide in the area QKMF.
It's important that since these cases were presented during the year, patients who really needed to come to QKUK and who have been accepted for further treatment in our center are about 52,000 patients, and the rest of them don't need anything here. Here come cases which for a banal treatment, so for a high blood pressure, and there are times when we remain uninhibited in other serious cases because that patient we need to give service”.
The eye also spoke of the need with additional staff, which currently needs 39 emergency medical specialists
We have 25 specialists at the Emergency Center who 23 of them work in shifts. At the moment, I also need 39 emergency medical specialists to reach the minimum worldwide standard. According to world standards of 100,000 people, there should be 14.9 emergency specialists, while we have 2.6 specialists in 2 million, says Syla.
As for health equipment, Syla says that the clinic he runs is fine. It also says that it stays with essential and machined drugs.
The Emergency Center has always been at the level of health equipment, therapy and the essential list, has been on the level. Every minister who led the first MS has the Emergency Center. The reasons are many in the number of patients, and then it's the first stage when the patient meets with a medical treatment, and if we lack something, then what? So he's always been trying to get our center on level supplied with drugs and equipment. We have machines that have gotten older, but it's functional”, Syla said to EO.
