European Parliament votes tomorrow for abolishing visas for Kosovars

This final vote on lifting visas will take place under the emergency voting procedure proposed by MP Thijs Reuten.
The EU Council of Ministers voted 9 March for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, confirming that Kosovo citizens can travel without visas from January 1st 2024.
Kosovars towards the EU will travel without visas for a period of 90 days in each 180-day period.
EU has linked this to the E system's entry into force TIAS but if this system providing electronic authorisation for citizens who do not need visas is delayed, then liberalisation comes into force by January 1st of next year.
After even the European Parliament gives the green light to the process, the decision is signed by representatives of three EU institutions, the Commission, Council and Parliament. The decision must then be published in the official newspaper then take effect 20 days after next year's release.
