The Specialised Prosecutor will have maximum five hours to protect the case.
After that, it is the defender of the victims who will make the opening statement, which is expected to last up to 45 minutes.
All of this is expected to end on Wednesday, April 5th, while presenting evidence will begin a week later with the appeal of prosecution witnesses.
Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, and his three wartime associates, Kadri Veselin, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, have appeared before the Special Court in The Hague to be tried on charges linking them with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
They are suspected of killing Serbs, Roma and other opponents in the 1998/99 war in Kosovo.
The alleged crimes include murder, torture and extinction by force, and have been committed in several Kosovo cities and in some areas of northern Albania.
The four, former leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army, have been declared innocent.
