Westerlund has stressed that he would like the situation in northern Kosovo to be different.
This is the first time the Serbian List boycotts the elections. The Serbian list has participated eight times in the elections, but unfortunately it is not participating this time. However, according to the Kosovo Constitution, the elections must be held and that is the decision of President”, Westerlund said.
While asking whether the exit in small numbers will have effect, he said it is still too early to talk about it and that “conclusions will take place Monday”.
The illusions will take place tomorrow. But now I think it's important to have participation in the election. Of course, we understand that it is important for both sides to implement what is agreed on in February and March in the Ohrid Agreement. Part of this is Pristina's obligation to form the AKS. This too is important, but it is also important to participate in the elections”, the Swedish ambassador from Leposaviqi said.
He has visited northern Kosovo municipalities.
