Kosovo police have arrested two doctors in Gjilan after allegedly receiving hundreds of euros in bribes to conduct an intervention.
One of those arrested is anesthesiologist and one surgeon.
“The Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK), namely, the Gjilan Regional Unit, in co-operation with the Foundation Prosecutor of Gjilan, after conducting operational/ethimore actions, have managed to ensure reasonable suspicions that the doctor/Anesthesiologist-profession suspect allegedly sought bribes worth a hundred euros from the victim to conduct an intervention, as well as reasonable suspicions have been provided for the second expert suspect with a doctor/profesor, that he received three hundred euros in intervention, while thirty euros demanded additional euros from the victim to make a statement to the police.
After the verbal order has been provided by the pre-procedure judge for instigating the criminal act, police say the <x0 thinkers have managed to provide evidence during the handover of the money to one suspect”.
“By the Unit's investigators for investigating economic crimes and corruption, have been arrested and accompanied for interviewing suspected persons, where, at the state prosecutor's decision, a ban has been issued on the deadline of 48 hours”, the police report said.
