Delawi: Vucinq not to make problems in Kosovo, but to strengthen democracy and rule of law in Serbia

The retired American diplomat has analysed the preliminary results of the vote, attended by 3.5 percent of registered voters, or 1567 citizens in northern Kosovo.
Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, among other things, named “Retire” elections held without the Republika Srpska List.
With such an attitude, however, Ambassador Delawi disagrees.
The best way for the Kosovo Serb community to improve its position is to elect its representatives, who are truly representatives of voters. And for their elected representatives to work with other MPs on projects to improve their communities and the country as a whole”, the former US diplomatic representative said in Kosovo.
Delawie warns that such rhetoric of Serbia's president could strengthen tensions in Kosovo and Serbia.
“does not benefit citizens of those countries. Serbia over the past five years has undergone a visible turn in democratic order according to the criteria of the Freedom House organisation, as well as in the area of corruption, according to Transparency International reports. Instead of creating problems with Kosovo, Vuciq should focus on improving democracy and rule of law in his country in order to fulfill his citizens' desire to integrate more with the rest of Europe”, Ambassador Delawi says.
