Citizens are required to stay away from parts of East Main, Report BBC.
Videos from the area appear to be showing heavily armed police surrounding commercial property in the area.
At a brief news conference, Louisville Police said police officers who had responded to the report of the case had encountered continuous shootings.
The man who did the shooting was dead. Yet, it was not clear what had led to his death.
Various images indicate police presence, broken glass and damaged medical equipment at a location.
