Court hearing against Neziri Mehmetaj again postponed

Nezir Mehmetaj, citizen of the Kline municipality's Rudica, was arrested by Serbian police on January 3rd of 2020 at the Merdare border crossing, on charges of committing war crimes against the non-Albanian population during the Kosovo war in 1999. Since then, he has been in custody in Serbia. The first session to take place today has been postponed for May 8th.
The court hearing against Nezir Mehmetaj, scheduled to take place Thursday, was postponed for Friday morning. The same has been postponed again for May 8th of this year.
The news of Dukaagini Portal has confirmed his brother Valon Mehmetaj.
“inform you that court hearings to the case of Nezir Mehmetaj are postponed until the 08.05.23, remain in hope”, he said.
Nezir Mehmetaj, citizen of the Kline municipality's Rudica, was arrested by Serbian police on January 3rd of 2020 at the Merdar border crossing, on charges of committing war crimes against the non-Albanian population during the war in Kosovo in 1999.
According to an answer from the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is said that more than 15 court hearings to Mehmetaj have been held so far.
Mehmetaj is being held in Central Prison (Centralni Zatvor - CZ) and against it have been brought an indictment by Belgrade's Supreme War Crimes Prosecutor, as his judgment began in April 2021.
