For a year, consumer prices in Kosovo rose by 7.6 per cent

Meanwhile, the overall harmonised consumer price index was lower at an average of 0.4% in March 2023, compared to February this year.

Meanwhile, the annual inflation rate measured in March 2023 with March 2022 was 7.6%.

“The overall harmonised consumption prices index was lower to an average of (-0.4%) in March 2023, compared to February 2023. This is largely explained with the drop in prices in the groups and subgroups of COICOP: phone and telephox devices (-22.7%); electricity (-7.1%); transport services (-2.8%); oils and fats (-18%); solid fuel, firewood, clothing, etc. (-1.8%); and milk, cheese and eggs (-1.0%). While consumer price hikes are noted in COICOP subgroups: food products (1.8%); recreation and culture (0.6%); furniture, household equipment and household maintenance (0.4%); as well as clothing and shoes (0.2%)”, the Kosovo Statistics Agency report says.

According to this report, annual inflation measured in March 2023 by March 2022 was 7.6%.

“This is primarily explained with the establishment of consumer prices in this period in groups and subgroups of COICOP: milk, cheese and eggs (19.2%); meat (16.6%); food products (16.2%); sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets (15.0%); maintenance and regulation of the settlement (13.7%); bread and cereal (12.6%); vegetables (11.6%); furniture, household equipment and household maintenance (9.6%; 9.6% social protection (9.9%; personal quality (9.0); coffee and tea; and teas.7%; and restaurants (8.5%; and other hotels; and new facilities; and household facilities (9.9% of the household and household facilities (9.6%; 99% alcohol; (odial) and non-perical oil; (5%; cell). (0%; cell).

While, according to the AKS report, price decreases are seen in COICOP groups and subgroups: fuel and lubricants for personal transport equipment (-6.9%); electricity (-4.8%); audio-visuals and data processing photos (-3.0%); communication tools (-2.9%); gas (-1.3%); and security (-0.3%), with a common impact of these subgroups (-07 percent).
