He has stressed that there has been a compromise on this issue, and that elections with international recommendation have once been postponed.
Konjufca has said they have received assurances from internationals that elections will not be postponed more than once and that this issue is over.
“We cannot be conditioned by Vuciqi, from Belgrade, from Serbia, for them to decide whether to have elections in Kosovo”, has stressed Konjufca, adding that Kosovo has no obligation for association.
Even Interior Minister Jhelal Svecla has said today that elections in the north should not be postponed and that the state dares not fall into the blackmail of the Serbian List.
Svechla has said one of the reasons why the Serbian List has boycotted these elections is because it has lost support for the Serb community living there.
We dare not blackmail them. What does that mean? We should not expect the Serbian List to tell us whether to hold the elections or not, will it boycott or not. One of the reasons why they are not for solutions is that within the community living there, they have lost support.
That's what the different polls say. I'm telling you loan polls and our partners. The Serb list has lost support. It's happening. I was there yesterday, security institutions are present more than ever. We have no incidents with citizens, we have problems with criminals”, Svechla said before the Commission for European Integration.
