So said the head of the Kosovo Commission Association, Saban Ibrahimi, according to which the compensation has not been made for some of the municipalities since last year.
It is unfortunate that after several months, citizens affected by the recent rainfall have not been compensated. The municipalities are in charge of their legal obligations, but the government has remained to compensate for citizens. More than a month has passed since all municipalities have submitted reports of damage caused by floods, but it is in the hands of the Government. According to information from the mayors, damage caused by last year has not yet been compensated in some cases. So, we expect the Government to reflect as soon as possible and compensate citizens for the damage caused by the floods”, Ibrahim told Blic newspaper.
In this regard, the newspaper Blic spoke to the mayor of the Drenas municipality, Ramiz Ladrovci, who earlier experienced floods.
He says the government for the 2021 floods has compensated only family economies, not businesses and agriculture.
And we, for the flow of 2021, the Government has paid the physical person but very little, as I have info. Businesses and agriculture have not compensated, only family economies”, says Ladrovci
