US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeff Hovenier has made a reaction after recent reports of burning several vehicles with license plates “RKS” north of Kosovo.
He said the US has consistently condemned the criminal burning of cars in northern Kosovo.
The US diplomat wrote on Twitter that Kosovo's “government has the responsibility to protect its citizens and provide accountability to these criminal acts”.
The U.S. has consistently concluded the criminal burning of creatures in the north of Kosovo. The Government of Kosovo has a responsibility to protect it is citizens and authority accountability for these criminal acts.

On Saturday evening, Kosovo police announced that they had arrested a person for participating in an attack on a Kosovo Police unit, “participation or organisation of the organised criminal group”, “attempted assassination”, “cause general risk” and “assault on the official during the official's performance of the official task”.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of Sunday, April 2nd, an explosive vehicle has been launched towards police officials in northern Mitrovica.
Police announced on Sunday that the attack was carried out around 2:20 pm “from persons so far unknown”.
In the communique it was said the explosive device dropped on “road. Ivo LolaRibar”, at the Automotive Technical Control Center, is suspected to be a friend bomb.
According to the announcement, the state prosecutor has ordered the launch of investigations into this case as “assault on the official person”.
