They didn't make capital investments, the opposition: Kurt's ministers are interns

The Kosovo government has been criticised for its poor performance after publishing data showing how little money has been spent on planned capital investments. LDK (LDK) MP Hykmete Bajrami has said that by not putting money into the power economy, she is cutting citizens off from building schools, streets, sheads [...]

Opposition parties ( The LDK and PDK have addressed criticism of the Kosovo government's approach to the lack of capital investments. They say that”ekesqivi has blocked everything“, hence many projects have stalled by damaging the country's economy.

Hykmete Bajrami, deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), in a proposal for Gazeta Express has said the money is being kept out of circulation. She has said there are 285m euros which had to enter the economy during 2022, but that's what happened.

” is about 285m euros that had to enter the economy last year, but unfortunately are kept out of circulation, so the first 704m euros for capital investments were spent only 419, including 88m euros in advance payments“, she said.

The government is accused of raising the trade deficit (double import above export) in record numbers. According to figures presented by opposition parties the value of the trade deficit is officially 5 billion euros.

Bajrami has ironed out, saying that these 285m euros are the amount the government has „improved“the trade deficit.

” These 285 million are those with which the Government has improved “the budget deficit but has deprived citizens of schools, roads, agendas and many other infrastructure projects that would have to be built over the past year, once weakened the private sector by keeping them out of circulation of the 285m euros in the two-term inflation time, former Finance Minister said.

Furthermore, she has accused the executive of neglecting the issue of the Procuring Organisation, or, as the Tender Court is otherwise known, and that she has not addressed the issue of inflation, which is also known to have reached record figures.

The government has been blocking the Procuring Monitoring Organization for about a year and has not addressed the inflation issue by the end of the year, even when it appears to fail because it has issued a Law that is difficult to implement in practice“, it has stated.

Finance Ministry” Group “of lack of investments

Based on a database published by the GAP Institute, on 10 April it is pointed out that the Finance Ministry has spent only 2 percent of its intended capital investment means.

For the former finance minister, Hykmete Bajrami is no surprise the approach current Finance, Labour and Transference Minister Hekuran Murati has.

The fact that the capital sub-provision champion is the Ministry of Finance, with only 1m euros spent by 50.4 million dollars, has declared Bajrami.

But on the issue of capital investments, concern also lies Ferat Shala, deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), who has told Gazeta Express that this is an extreme mismanagement of the Government.

We have a case at the Ministry of Finance, which is 2 to 5 percent. This is an extraordinary concern, it's an extreme mismanagement, it's a damage to the country's economy, it's a one-year loss of all investments, and as a result of the disruption of these investments today we have an economic crisis, a cut-off of projects. Basically certain companies that would need these tools to implement the projects are unemployed, the jobless number has increased and are seeking alternative “, the opposition MP has said.

This entire operation of the Government under Shala is out of legal logic.

The government has created an abroad and outside economic situation. Laws are clear and can be no different than disability and malmenage“, he said.

According to Shala, “is proving that Kurti Government is in the intern phase where they have not even had the chance to recognize state problems”.

What does the GAP Institute say about ministry capital investments?

The ministry that has spent the least of its capital investment means is finance by only 2 percent, followed by the Ministry of Industry 16 percent, followed badly by the Ministry of Economy 38 percent.

The Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs, with 40 percent streaming the 5th of those ministries that they at least spent.

At the same time, the Ministry for Communities and Kthim 98 per cent has invested mostly, as has the 94 per cent defence ministry.
