The boy allegedly killed his mother. What is known so far about the macabre murder in Pec?

At about 4: 00 p.m., under still unknown motives, Kosovo police were reported for a serious murder in Pec's Kapisnica district, where the victim turned out to be a woman.

Police spokesman for the Peja region Driton Rugova confirmed the case.

“Today around 4:00 hours, police have received information on the “King Zog” in Pec, once we get to the scene, we have seen that it is a serious murder as the victim's death was confirmed by the guard team”, Rugova said.

The same confirmed that, following the immediate police response, the suspect has been arrested.
By order of the Attorney, the suspect of the tragic murder in Pec, has been detained for 48 hours.

Although the prosecution and police did not elaborate on how the murder occurred, it was reported in the media that the suspect had stabbed his mother's head.

State leaders have not reacted yet to the murder.

Case prosecutor: All the evidence has been collected, the suspect has been able to declare himself

The prosecutor of the macabre case in Pec's Kapisnica neighbourhood, Sahidje Gashi, provided additional details concerning the evidence from the first investigations.

She said the prosecution, with the help of Forenzice, has collected all necessary evidence as well as provided eyewitnesses.

“All traces have been isolated, all evidence collected, ordered autopsy of the deceased, and provided eyewitnesses”, the prosecutor said in a statement to the media.

He added that the suspect has been arrested, but the same has not been able to issue a statement.

Thanks to the quick police response that Pec, it has been managed to arrest the same so as not to cause anyone else any harm or hurt himself”.

The suspect has been able to issue statements, the prosecutor of the case said further. This is expected tomorrow, in the presence of a psychologist and a defense attorney.

According to them, the murder could be linked to the separation of the suspect from his wife, whom he accused of as his mother.

As T7 reported, the suspect reportedly lived abroad and had recently returned.

Residents also said he was a narcotics user and divorced twice.

“The citizens provided information say the boy had been abroad for several months and recently returned to Pec. The first doubts are about a marriage relationship the boy had with a girl. He accused his mother that she was responsible for breaking up with his wife. Residents have said he was a drug user and was twice married”.
