During the Abc News Albania interview, LDK's number two indicated that there is no personally information on who the witnesses will be questioned at The Hague.
He said Kosovo should be careful not to establish a divisive debate, but the main goal added it is to prove the purity of war.
The “Time period that has the mandate of Specialised Chambers speaks of January 1st 1998-21st 1999, within this period the Specialised Chambers have built investigations. The ongoing debate in Kosovo is causing noise. We do not know the witnesses, nor do we know who they are. Witnesses can apply others and themselves, and the process as such is expected to testify to bringing justice to a large number of those killed during the war. During this time, divisive debate should not be built in Kosovo”, Haziri added.
Asked whether the Democratic League of Kosovo follows to support the Specialised Chambers, he made this comment:
No one in Kosovo can say no to Specialised Chambers. It is the Kosovo institution except paid by the EU. Did we want an institution of justice in the Netherlands and run by international judges, of course not”, he added.
According to Haziri, the four former KLA leaders must prove innocence before justice. He added that Kosovo should be careful not to point the finger of guilt prematurely, but to wait for the court's verdict.
I can speak only in my name, because LDK has the right purpose to do so. In the very fact that we have a trial process, their innocence should be proven there, and that I think is the purpose of them. The purity of the war and the cleanness of the past must be witnessed there. We should not allow, and not fall into the trap of enemies, and of Kosovo's independence opponents, to divide and point fingers prematurely, and when justice is spoken, others must be silent. Now is the time to keep quiet and await the verdict of this court”, he said.
Asked if he believes in the innocence of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders Haziri and his personal opinion, not that of the Democratic League of Kosovo.
“As I individually believe, I believe in the innocence of the war and the armed uprising of Kosovo's boys and men, since at the moment it was lost meaning that with peaceful urgency to achieve our intentions to be free and independent, the armed uprising was the last step, because the threshold of our house and the threshold of our door does not protect anyone except us”, he added.
