Bajram Night, citizens hardly fill baskets because of prices

On Fiter Bajrami's night, citizens have expressed disappointment at the prices of products. For television they have expressed concern about filling their family baskets. According to them, prices are affordable to them.

More than usual, citizens are found this Thursday in shops and brands.

It is the last night of the month of Ramadan, subsequently the holiday of Fiter Bajrami a day later.

The mass of citizens who have purchased various products is also Edsim Salihu of Gjilan but who lives in Sweden.

Salihu has been surprised at the high prices, which he even says exceed them in the European state.

I went out and I saw the prices more expensive than in Sweden after I live there, people I don't know how they live here in Kosovo because prices are at an extreme higher than that in basic products”, said Education Salihu, an exile.

And other residents in Gjilan show how prices have reduced products they buy.

It's a lot for families to fill up their basket, all products, and especially those food would have to be smaller, we're lowering things to buy the price cause”, it says pwr RTV Dukagini, Nazimije Rexhepi, resident of Gjilan.

The advertising of various prices for discounts, according to another resident in Gjilan, most times do not match reality.

This is where the price changes that are being put out are only propaganda because prices are high, there are families that are poor economically and for our basket as citizens, prices are too high”, said Faton Maliqi, resident of Gjilan.

It's more problematic to buy products with a salary we've got, we're not going to luxury, but we're just trying to buy the most essential ones to buy”, said Rexhep Sabedini, resident of Gjilan.

According to the Kosovo Statistics Agency, during these days a kilogram of beef costs 9.66 cents, 30 pieces of eggs 3 and 59 cents, a litre of 1.85 cents, a litre of milk 1 euro and 18 cents, while 5 kilogram of flour 3 euro and 43 cents.
