Android 14 brings improved battery performance

Google plans to explore the next version of the mobile operating system, Android 14, on May 10th. The new version of the platform should have improvements in performance and battery, security and privacy.

Currently, Android 14 is in the testing phase and only internal persons have access to beta development. The features we list below may not be available in the final version of Android 14, but this is what Gogol is currently working.

The improved battery performance Google is working to control battery consumption in Android, which will change the way the system controls its background tasks, and downloads and uploads. There is also an option that controls how much time the user has spent in front of the screen since the last battery load.

Improved support for large screens will have more optimized applications that will be able to operate on standard phones, rotating devices and tablets.

The best security "Android 14 will not allow the installation of older apps, which were created for Android 5.1 or previous versions of software. There will also be better support for unlocking biometric methods equipment.

Block access to photos and videos. Android already has an option for which applications can block access to all photos and videos, and Android 14 will have an option that will allow access to individual files.

There are also options for switching to the largest font of up to 200 percent (Android 13 offers an option to zoom in to 130 percent), as well as the ability to activate a live camera or screen when new reports arrive.
