In the official Facebook account, the embassy has said that attacks on journalists or interference in their independence and freedom of expression violate fundamental democratic principles.
“Sulmet against journalists or interference in independence and their freedom of expression violate basic democratic principles. The media plays an essential role in fighting corruption, ensuring accountability and transparency, and protecting the rights of all citizens in a democracy”, the Embassy's post said.
The embassy has even distributed the statement of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who has said that “Sa BAWs will continue to support the courageous and necessary work of journalists worldwide”
Journalist Valon Syla was attacked by three people in Pristina's Sun Coast neighbourhood.
He suffered head injuries, and after medical treatment, KKUK said the attackers were “that were fanatical Islamic”.
The front eye was on a T7 Pressing show where the analyst is. The discussion was the debate that has prompted the launching of the trial of former KLA leaders at The Hague Special Court.
The attack was also condemned by the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, but also by the largest journalists in Europe.
