Tens of containers have been distributed to four northern municipalities Thursday. They will be used as alternative polling stations in Sunday's extraordinary elections in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok. During and after the deployment, members of the Kosovo Police care for their safety at each location. During Thursday, the CEC has trained Serbian commissioners to participate in the election process,
Of the police stations, containers that will be used as polling stations in Sunday's elections in the north have been scattered across the ground.
Such objects are located in 13 locations in four Serb-run municipalities.
Two of the last containers to serve as alternative voting centres in northern municipalities are located here in northern Mitrovica, exactly on the road in front of three skyscrapers.
Two others, citizens will be available near the bus station in this municipality.
A few miles away, containers are also located near Mitrovica-Jarenje Street in Zvecan, as well as in Zerovnica in this municipality.
They are also arranged in Leposavic and Zubin Potok.
While containers were deployed and ready for use, the Central Election Commission has continued preparations Thursday.
In the Top Soqanica of Leposaviqi, this institution has held training for Serbian commissioners.
Training about 30 commissioners on the part of the CEC has become the object behind me, which was built years ago by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
They have received instructions to carry out their responsibilities according to the law.
While training Albanian commissioners, the CEC completed the day before.
There are 19 polling stations available, 6 regular and 13 alternative.
However, three days before extraordinary elections, Serbs refuse to show whether they will vote.
I don't know. I don't know. “I don't want to answer because I'm a student”, another one said. “What choice does Bree”, the other says, RTV Dukagonin reports.
And one of the Albanians living in the north is disappointed with the way these elections will be held.
I'm out of here. Our parents' objects have taken us...”, he says.
In the April 23rd extraordinary elections, 11 candidates compete. However, among them is not the Serbian List, which has rejected the process.
Consequently, Serbian citizens have faced recent weeks of pressure not to participate in the elections.
For a visit to the north, during the day were Minister of Internal Affairs Jelal Svechla and Justice Albulen Haxhiu, who have stayed at the police station in Kostunica and the checkpoint at the Bistrica Bridge.
