He has respectfully mentioned police and election officials who were provided for the success of the process, but also addressed reports of threats and pressure on some Serbs not to participate in the election process.
I hope that elections in northern municipalities yesterday were kept safe and without any major incidents. I would like to honor election officials and police who made it possible. I am sorry for the lack of Serbian political parties and the Serb election in the election process”, Abbott wrote on Twitter.
“Reports of pressure and threats in some cases for nonparticipation were deeply disturbing. I expect progress in implementing the agreement reached in Ohrid last month in the interest of all citizens of the northern municipalities”.
