Abazovic: Ohrid Agreement I see as a good basis to come to final Kosovo- Serbia

Montenegro's Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic has spoken of the Ohrid Agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, where he has said as he sees it as a good basis for normalising relations throughout the Western Balkans. Furthermore, he has said that Montenegro supports dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. “I see [...]

I see it as a good basis to come up to a final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. We're very interested in finally ending this issue, normally we're not a country that has the ability to help or say what to do with which subject but we've had a strong desire to complete this issue and to normalise all reports in the region [the Western Balkans] this is also our interest as states and we are the smallest state in the region and every time that has something negative that affects us, and every time we have good news in the region that has positive implications in Montenegro, Absov said.

While he has also talked about the Serbian Church statute in Kosovo, he urged Kosovo leaders to take the example of Montenegro.

“Take Montenegro's example, as with a signature the things that have not been resolved for 30 years, are selected with a signature. The right we love for ourselves should be given equally. Everyone who goes to Church, Glass, Sinagogue, wherever they want and who is not religious, and he applies his rights”, he has declared for RTV Dukagjin.
