In Ramush Haradinaj's opposition party welcomes the conditions set for association, but say they are more reluctant to state power statements, so they consider they should be taken to base more American pledges, where it is claimed they will not allow the association to have executive competency and a third power.
AAK MP Time Kadrijaj says they have supported the basic agreement with Serbia, but adds that caution is needed in the annex of implementation that everything is in line with the Constitution and the country's sovereignty and integrity is respected.
“We are seeking guarantees that (the association) there will be no executive competencies, no third power in Kosovo, and the Constitution respected. It's a Constitutional Court verdict and that's what we're looking for. Basically, we as an opposition party have supported the Franco-German plan and we've always demanded that there be no technical dialogue, but to move into political dialogue and address issues... We often hesitate in what they say by power, but I often believe in what American officials say will not allow for third power, which will not allow association to be with executive competence and which destabilise Kosovo, but where sovereignty and integrity is respected”, she says.
Opposition MP sees both the reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia as helpful for those missing by violence during the war in Kosovo.
It requires that the next summit be signed declarations of violent disappearances.
May it be signed, since it is a sin for the family of the innocent who, even 24 years after the war, do not have a place to place a bouquet of flowers for their families. It's an open wound that needs to be closed, but good enough there's also a three-way monitoring commission monitoring the implementation of these agreements that are being reached. Now if Kosovo does not implement Kosovo, let Kosovo be sanctioned, but if Serbia does not implement it to be punished and to remove these dual standards”, potencon Kadrijaj.
On the other hand, Kadrijaj ranks those, which he calls Kosovo's failures in foreign policy. “We are seeing that we have no new recognition, we have no membership in any international organisation, which are advances, what Kosovo has benefited from foreign policy. Membership in either the Council of Europe or the Council of Europe have not been able to do with all the lobbies that the Parliament delegation did. A good performance is based on results, not words. In fact, what is the result or the reinforcement of Kosovo, as even the subjectivity of Kosovo in the international arena, whether by reckless actions in the north, failure to comply with our allies”, she points out.
Meanwhile, on the two-year anniversary of the work of Kurti government, Kadrijaj says there is no concrete result in their work being highlighted.
In total, it wasn't good, I wish that this government, even though I'm the opposition, would follow. But good work is seen with concrete results, which we don't actually have... price hikes, now more electricity increases. I think this government has also been conflicting governments, with all categories promoting conflict, as is the case with the minimum wage”, it concludes.
Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has said this week they have the five criteria that, according to him, the self-awareness of the Serb community in Kosovo will not be association with executive competencies. Among other things, he has cited harmonisation with the 2013-2015 agreements, the 2015 Constitutional Court's decision on the Association statute and a letter from the former EU diplomatic chief Frederica Moghereni, where it vows that association will not have executive competencies.
