One thousand 500 euros fine against former sector Vataj, charged with denying a candidate's right to employment

The indictment has been announced by the court judge, Fatmir Krasniqi, reports “The Justice Vow”.

With the act declared on December 10th 2021, the Constitutional Court in Prizren had convicted the accused Vataj, condemning him to a thousand-500-euro fine.

While the Court of Appeals has turned the case into restoration with the argument that the first degree had not well valued material right.

Against this bias, the disgruntled side has the right to complaint at the Court of Appeals.

Presequently in this session, the accused Vataj and his defender, lawyer Labinot Vata, have declared they stand in general close to questions and statements they had issued on November 5th 2021 on the case of providing protection by the accused Vataj.

Also, prosecutor Shpend Binya has stated that he stands on the whole next to questions posed as in the November 26th 2021 process, adding that there are no questions for the accused in today's review.

After that, the final word has been given by prosecutor Shpend Binaj with whom he has claimed to stand in all close to the final word given on December 10, 2021.

The same has demanded that the accused be found guilty and on the case of taking the plea take into account critical and extenuating circumstances.

On the other hand, lawyer Vata has said that the final word has been delivered in writing, the same one has demanded that the prosecution's indictment be dismissed as unfounded and his defense be acquitted.

In contrast, the Basic Prosecutor's Act in Prizren, founded on May 10, 2020, charges Rame Vatain that from September 30, 2017, until October 2018, at “Uksin Hoti” University Sector Quality, it denies or restricts other persons the right to employment under the same conditions.

In addition, the indictment reportedly failed to comply with the decision of the Education Information Sector in Prizren on September 14, 2017, whereby the university was ordered to review the August 1, 2016, competition with No. of protocol 01-236, to establish professional and credit-responsive review commissions in specific areas published in contests, to ensure respect for legal and sub-law acts in effect, to treat equally all contest participants, as well as the University to select special review commissions for any area, which has not been fully implemented by the defendant.

In this case, injuryers Vehbi Miftari reportedly denied or restricted the right to employment under the same conditions as other participants in the competition.

Hence, the accused is charged with committing criminal work “Cenim of employment and unemployment rights”, from Article 219, par.1 and 2 of the Penal Code, for which the penalty was envisioned or prison sentence of up to two years.

Rame Vataj was the Rector at the University “Uktin Hoti” in Prizren from 2014 until 2018.
