At the same time, the chairman of the New Trade Union, the Kosovo Energy Corporation, Nexhat Llumnica, has declared their demands essential.
In addition to this protest, the possibility of Kosovo returning to terror has been warned.
I am very sorry that they leave our country for unemployment, while KEK has 2,000 workers missing. I ask all those relevant institutions to open competitions and hire young people, because workers are being challenged with three shifts, with 16 hours, it's the same as eight hours' work. In 2021 we have 35 deaths from professional diseases suspected of carrying them, we are at risk, but the risk of being paid. We've requested collective agreements, it's the only public company that doesn't have collective deals”, the Llumnica quarter.
He also said that if wages are not raised, they will leave Kosovo in the dark.
“If wages are not raised, we will leave Kosovo in the dark”, he stressed.
In addition, during the protest by workers, it has been stressed that reductions are expected from Monday.
So if their demands are not met, the protest will continue and the work will not be carried out.
If reductions start again in the country, the situation will be very difficult. After the war last year, it was among the most serious in terms of power-al electric reductions.
Such a situation would add to the lives of citizens, especially during this very cold period in our country.
