Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said he does not believe Thursday's meeting of Miroslav Lajcak and Albin Kurti has been constructive, as the EU's own prime minister of dialogue said, after meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister. “What you thought, to exit Lajcak and say the meeting failed. “What you thought, to exit Lajcak and say the meeting failed. Hardly there was any progress?”, he declared during an interview on Happy television in Belgrade.
Vucic has then said that in Serbia there are many lies about dialogue with Kosovo, while insisting he will not hand over his country.
“Let people know, I don't intend to sign the surrender of Serbia. Nobody can tell me what the plan is, because they know better than anyone. I've participated in 300 negotiations, I know every detail, every detail, there won't be a chapter, no submission”, he said.
Also, the Serbian president has declared that these positions have made it known to foreign leaders and negotiators.
Without any doubt, I told everyone, and as you know, no one can say that I lied to Lajcak or Eckobar or Scholci or Macron or Blinken. I have told everyone on their faces that it will neither be reconciled nor silent to Serbia on the occasion of Kosovo's entry into the UN and will not accept anything like that, either, in this or that way”.
