Von Croamon: With European plan, Serbia recognises Kosovo, but sʹe says aloud

The rapporteur for Kosovo at the EP, Violet von Cremon, from the session where Kosovo was discussed in the European Parliament, said a key element on the road to European integration for Kosovo is the relaxed dialogue by the EU, which, according to her, conditions EU membership for both countries. She stressed that the issue of membership [...]
She stressed that the issue of membership of the two countries in the European family has been clarified by many by the international community.
Allow me to replay once more how important this moment is and the joint efforts of the EU and US to advance things in dialogue with Serbia”.
“We all know that without a legally binding comprehensive agreement on normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia, accession to the Union will not happen for either of the countries. I'd like to see a successful conclusion to the dialogue, where all remaining issues will be resolved either -- or say, almost all -- and then, I hope to implement”, said von Cromon, Klankosova.tv.
Kosovo, she said, is an independent country and this process is irreversible, while added that Serbia must comply.
The Kosovo rapporteur said the EU's new Franco-German plan almost clearly says that.
With that, Serbia will recognise you and everything, but without saying it out loud that it did. Dialogue raises many sensitive issues, and I fully understand that your concerns over the outcome can affect some earlier agreements. However, already reached agreements must be respected and implemented legally. Kosovo should not allow the side to be preventing the signing of the” agreements, said von Cromon.
She urged Kosovo institutions to demonstrate leadership and find ways to implement all agreements out of dialogue.
“Of course, changes should be made within Kosovo's constitutional framework and its order [now=Kosovos, St. legal. Still, finding a way to accommodate will inevitably lead to a major step closer to the completion of dialogue and finalisation of this long process. Let me be very clear once again: there is full co-operation and transatlantic synchronization for dialogue. Kosovo should use this new spirit of opportunity with its allies to postpone a decisive development of dialogue, and the European Parliament is always willing to help and monitor it closely in the coming period”, Eurodeputta Violet von Cromon.
Furthermore, she said dialogue in Brussels requires strong political will, and voiced confidence that Kosovo will do its job, not why the EU requires it, but because of its citizens.
“You, as you well know, have a strong ally here with us at the EP, and of course with me personally, and as I have constantly stressed, the need for immediate visa liberalisation, which has been delayed too long, despite the fact that you have fulfilled all the criteria. I want to see the fruitfulness of our joint efforts in the future because Kosovo citizens deserve to live in a country that enjoys full international respect and clear European perspective”, the rapporteur for Kosovo at the EP, Violet von Croamon, declared at the end of her word.
