When the race has reached the 16th best round, serious candidates to the title begin to appear, writes Periscope.
Over the next few weeks, the first 16th matches played, most of the matches are still undecided, but the defending champion Real Madrid appears set to pass to the last eight after winning the first 5-2 match against Liverpool.
According to the supercomputer, however, Madrid is not the favourite to raise the trophy.
In fact, the favourites are German giants of Bundesliga, Baiern Munich, who won the Champions League in 2020. Julian Nagelsmann's team has been given a 26% chance to win this season's edition.
Behind the Bavarez club is England's champion, Manchester City, with 19% chance of winning. Europe's elite competition remains the only trophy Pep Guardio has failed to win during his time with Blues. /Periscopi/
