Journal “El Nacional” of Catalonia has dedicated a writing to Kosovo following the European Union Council vote for Kosovars to travel visa-free to the Schengen area.
Saying an explanation on Spain's cooled unilateral reports -- against Kosovo -- this newspaper quoted the lawyer as saying that from now on, Kosovars, whose government denies the Spanish state, could enter Spain without visas.
Whatever the Spanish government tries to deny, Kosovo is a state. Kosovars now enter the European Union with passports, without visas. Spain is deceiving itself, denying reality for fear of the independence of Catalonia”, Urias said, broadcast Express.
The EU Council has approved visa waivers for Kosovo, and has announced that this decision comes into force with functionalisation of the E system. TIAS and no farther than January 1st of 2024. Now, the initiative is expected to be voted into the European Parliament, where expectations are passing. The Catalonian newspaper writes that “needs to be seen” about what attitudes Spanish Eurodeputs will hold there.
