Twenty people involved, including Albanians, have been arrested from the operation.
On March 2nd, those arrested have been brought to justice, where the detention measure for 7 of them is imposed, while others were released on bail pending trial of the case.
Plantations were set up in warehouses, shopping facilities, or houses, in the Lleida region, southwestern Barcelona. During physical control on 11 plantations, 4,000 cannabis and 12kg of dried marijuana were seized.
Spanish media report that the criminal network was run by two men who employed special Albanian-oriented helicopters to cultivate cannabis for 3-4 months. The rest of the gang members were responsible for logistics, drug packing, and among them an electrician.
