Skender Hyseni: If it were Albin Kurti prime minister in 2008, it would never be declared independence

The former member of Kosovo's negotiating team, Skender Hyseni, has commented on Kurti's statement that “if he were prime minister in 2011, Kosovo would be much different”. Hyseni initially said it is not worth looking back and commenting on history, but if Kurti were prime minister in 2006 and 2007, Kosovo would not be independent.
There's no one that's forcing Kurt to accept Association. But at least tell a man out and say he won't do it. But he accepted the deal”, he said.
Now, as far as Kurt said, if he were prime minister 10 years ago, there would be no association at all. I say that if it were Albin Kurti then prime minister, it would never become independence. If it were Albin Kurti prime minister in 2006-2007”, he said on the Pressing Show in T7.
He added, however, that the Association Agreement cannot be touched.
We can't stay in the past now. I didn't support Association myself. I've been against the drill. Instead of going out to say that I'm going to try to do something for the good of the country, he's saying he's going to do it again and finally leave someone else, another prime minister, to say something, so he'll lose another 10 years. Someone can listen and say we're pro-Asciation in the studio. We're not, but there's no choice. The 2013 Association agreement cannot be touched. It can't open. If opened, what comes out of the geopolitical situation” is not known, Hyseni added.
