It is necessary to withdraw special units from the north and stop political persecutions and arrests, so that the peaceful life of Serbs in these areas can be allowed and to preserve stability and survival”, Rakiq wrote in a post in his Facebook account after the meeting.
The Serbian list led by Rakqi will not take part in the April 23rd elections in the four northern municipalities.
The extraordinary elections will be organised in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok and Leposaviq, after the leaders of these municipalities surrendered in November last year, due to the Kosovo Government's decision to re-register cars with Serbian license plates in Kosovo plates.
