In this regard the issue has reacted to Pristina's first municipality, Progress Rama. He has expressed concern and apologised to the citizens for creating this situation.
Honored “capital residents,
With great concern I'm addressing the last strike of the employees of the company “Cleaning”.
We understand the frustration of the workers and know their right to protest, but their decision to stop work has had a serious impact on the purity of our city.
The streets are full of garbage and this situation is unrecognizable”, Rama wrote.
The mayor has now written, that the municipality has been actively committed to the company to find a solution to the issue and that they are committed to reaching a fair agreement from which workers and the capital will benefit.
Rama has not been able to give a precise date when the situation will be returned to normal.
“In the meantime, we're setting all available resources to manage the situation and clean up the waste as soon as possible.
We apologize for the distress caused and assure you that we are working hard to resolve the situation as soon as we can, Rama” said, in the end of Rama's status. /Periscopi/
