Over 300 thousand euros of the Government of Kosovo dedicated to financing popular cuisines have allegedly ended up managing people close to a Kosovo Government minister.
Two people linked to Minister of Management and Local Power Elbert Krasniqi and his party, the New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo (IRDK), have benefited from government funds for funding of popular cuisine.
“The Humanitarian Association Payan”, led by Gazmen Polaca, a man close to Minister Krasniqi and other IRDK officials, has benefited 158 thousand euros from the finance ministry's public call for financing of popular cuisine.
About 177 thousand euros from the government's fund for the financing of popular cuisines has also benefited the “Diaspora Brothers”, which is led by Fadil Airzaj, a person close to Minister Krasniqi and his political circle.
“The Peine Humanitarian Association”, located in Pec, opened the popular humanitarian cuisine in 2021 when it received its first financial assistance from the government. The offices of the association's headquarters are covered with the logo of the IRDK, the party of Minister Elbert Krasniqi, given some evidence Paparaci has provided.
