Osman for elections in the north: Security institutions are working to make citizens feel safe and eligible

She has said that these citizens should understand that the Constitution guarantees their rights and that they cannot make further efforts beyond the “that the Constitution and democracy” give us.

“As far as judges and prosecutors are concerned, as you know, together with members of other institutions they have quit working under pressure from Serbia. Our efforts are democratic efforts to convince them that their guaranteed rights to the Constitutions are rights that cannot be found anywhere in Europe”.

The effort beyond what the Constitution gives us and democracy in the country cannot be. All Serbian citizens need to understand that the best way for guaranteeing their rights is to exploit the rights that the Constitution and laws recognise”, it said.

While questioned about the elections in the north, Osmani said they would be held on 23 April and that the CEC and security institutions are working to make citizens feel secure in these municipalities and to vote.

“As far as elections are concerned, they are scheduled for April 23rd in co-operation with all political subjects in the country. Those that have been registered for elections to be held in the four northern municipalities”.

Security institutions are making efforts and work to ensure that in these municipalities there is enough security for citizens to exploit their right to vote. So far I have neither a letter nor an assessment nor information that would lead me to the opposite direction. All estimates by the institutions are that the elections are held as scheduled. The CEC is making the necessary preparations and doing excellent work”.
