In this case, ruling party deputies Vetevendosje and opposition Movement have raised criticism of the rise of electricity tariffs on 1 April.
LVV MP Driton Hyseni has said the poor performance of power operators has affected the increase in electricity tariffs.
Hyseni has requested information from the ZERE board regarding the measures they have envisioned in the event the energy crisis continues in the country.
“Operator performance has been bad, so operators have been fined. Now this is burdening citizens with increased energy prices. Do you have any other scenarios you can apply to in case of the ongoing crisis in the country? Reevaluating tariffs is the easiest job, and it is most likely to be doing ZERE”, he said.
But MP Hyseni's claims rejected ZERE Board leader Ymer Fejzullahu.
He said that expensive energy tariffs are being done because the cost of import has increased.
“The increase in tariffs has affected import cost, which is higher than anticipated. Crisis management belongs to the Ministry of Economy. Other operators along with the regulator are part of the committee and we will offer our readiness in crisis management”, he said.
The criticism of the rise in energy prices also raised AAK deputy Pal Lekaj.
In 2023, it's pointless to come up with the price of energy and you don't have the economic situation and low wages behind you. You're making a big mistake to get back to priceing energy”, he said.
