Opposition to European Proposal: Kurt I give you more details

Although the US has raised concerns about the opposition's stance on the European plan, some of the political parties continue to oppose some points of that plan received at least in principle by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Alexander Vuciq.

The opposition wants more details from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti about points containing the European proposal.

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Hajdar Beqa says Prime Minister Kurti should be more transparent on this issue, while addressing a host of questions about him.

Asked about US attitudes towards the opposition, Beqa said the plan views it as positive, but, according to him, Prime Minister Kurti must be clarified more.

We see the plan positive, however Prime Minister Kurti has left the clarification, should clarify to citizens and MPs, to be transparent to the plan. So keep it open and don't let this thing go, because it's the main thing. You cannot say in Kosovo today that it is not a priority dialogue, when all issues relate to mutual recognition, without a stable Kosovo statute being able to create neither economic development.

Prime Minister Kurti is open, transparent, to show what he accepted, should the Constitution be changed, what if we had left such a case and what is benefiting Kosovo with the acceptance of the German franc plan, how will the plan” be implemented, Beqa says.

Even the deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Rzazarta Krasniqi, told Kosovo Press that the whole process related to dialogue has not been transparent at all by Prime Minister Kurti.

Krasniqi says that as a party continues to oppose this plan, and according to her it is expected to have a final recognition.

“We as opposition have expected this plan to have a final recognition, we are also unclear why it is not coming to be introduced in the Kosovo Parliament, because the whole process related to dialogue has no transparency behind it and the same people have demanded since we were in Government in the wake of transparency.

For us, it is very disturbing, Article 7 when it is said to have a single-management of Serb municipalities, and it is also said to create a channel that will be directly with the Government of Kosovo. These are very disturbing for us, and Prime Minister Kurti must come to the Assembly and explain Article 7 what self-defence means and what it means to create a channel to cooperate or report directly to the Government of Kosovo... We are still opposed because we have expected that there will be a final recognition and not a basic” recognition, Krasniqi says.

She added that Kurti's dialogue with Serbia was a seventh point, and now it has decided as the first.

“also regarding this plan has been violated all principles Prime Minister Kurti has come into the process. It is disturbing that the prime minister has equated the disabled with the aggressor. The part of the dialogue is behind it as a seventh point of its governance plan, while now has it as its first point, where it has almost forgotten all other concerns and dictatorships to have stagnation, such as in health, foreign policy, economy and many other”, Krasniqi says, among other things.

Prime Minister Kurti and Serbia's president, Vuciq, with EU mediation, will meet on March 18th in Ohrid. Before the European Union's meeting for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak has stayed in Kosovo, where he met with representatives of institutions and leaders of opposition political subjects. The latter, he has informed them of the EU's plan for dialogue.

He has stayed on a two-day visit to Belgrade, where he has said there is no agreement without the establishment of Association. He stressed that the Franco-German proposal already incarnated into an agreement Kosovo and Serbia agreed to, at least basically, speaks of normalisation, not any kind of captemi.

Today, however, the U.S. Special Emissar for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar remains in Belgrade.

We remember that on February 27th, Kurti and Vuciq have orally accepted the European proposal, which the European Union has called a basic agreement.
