Through the media statement, OEA has expressed its confidence that this agreement will open up economic development opportunities for both states, improving the exchange of goods and services.
It also reiterates its call for the Government of Kosovo to join the initiative of Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia, known as the Open Balkans, for common regional market, under the agreement reached in Washington on 4 September 2020.
The American “Oda also calls on both states to respect previously given pledges for investments in road and rail infrastructure. Developing transport infrastructure, along with mutual recognition of university diplomas and professional certificates, will enable freedom of movement of people and goods, as well as freedom of service delivery, thus improving the mobileity of businesses and professionals within the space of the Balkans”, the OEA statement says.
